The Bikeriders Film – 21st June 2024
Based on Danny Lyon’s iconic 1968 photo book, The Bikeriders offers a gripping portrayal of the lives of The Vandals, a motorcycle club whose transformation from a local group to a notorious criminal gang unfolds on screen.
Originally slated for release on 31st August 2023, the film's debut was postponed due to the SAG-AFTRA strike, with the new release date set for 21st June 2024.
Given the rarity of high-quality motorcycle films, we decided to turn this release into an unforgettable event. Partnering with East Dulwich Picture House, we’re hosting a special screening for the V79moto Club on the film’s release day.
The Picture House has been incredibly accommodating, securing us a private lounge area, film posters, and even parking for our motorcycles right at the front of the cinema. It promises to be a memorable gathering for all bike enthusiasts—don’t miss it!
Bike Meet in Crystal Palace - 23rd June 2023
Building on the success and excitement of our first bike meet in Dulwich, South London, we’ve decided to do another one later in the year.
When considering possible venues, it was clear that Crystal Palace Park was the perfect location, with its rich motorsport history. Once home to the legendary Crystal Palace Circuit, the park was the site of Britain’s oldest race track, which first hosted a motorcycle race on 21st May 1927 to a crowd of over 10,000 spectators. Although racing ceased during World War II, the track resumed operations in 1953, continuing until its closure in 1974.
Our latest event took place at the Race Paddocks within Crystal Palace Park, a truly historic setting for motorcycle enthusiasts to gather.
We were thrilled with the turnout, which included a fantastic mix of bikers, families, pets, and even the RAF, who made a memorable appearance with a fleet of Chinook helicopters. The day was a celebration of everything we love about biking—community, history, and a great time for all.
Bike Meet in Dulwich - 26th March 2023
Why weren’t there any motorcycle events in South London? We asked ourselves that question, and instead of waiting for someone else to step up, we decided to create something special.
Being locals to Dulwich, it felt only right that our very first bike meet should take place here—right in the heart of our community.
On 26th March 2023, at the Trevor Bailey Sports Ground, we kicked off the riding season with our inaugural meet, just as spring was beginning to bloom. Despite the relentless rain that poured all day, our spirits remained high, and we were thrilled with the turnout. Riders from all over the area, many of whom were our neighbours, came together, braving the weather to share their love for motorcycles.
That rainy day marked the start of something bigger—a community of passionate riders coming together—and eventually gave rise to the V79moto Club. What began as a simple meet-up became the foundation of an incredible movement, and it all started right here, in South London.
